Bill Gates and his better half, Melinda, are proceeding onward to what’s next … they’re getting a divorce, according to TMZ.
In a joint statement released on Monday, the couple declared they’ve settled on a choice to end their marriage, saying, “Over the last 27 years, we have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives.”
They proceed, “We continue to share a belief in that mission and will continue our work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in the next phase of our lives.”
Bill and Melinda started dating in 1987 after meeting at a New York trade expo, and she’d proceed to work in promoting for Microsoft and be delegated as General Manager of Information Products in the mid-’90s.
The couple married on January 1, 1994, in Hawaii … what’s more, Melinda left the organization in 1996 to zero in on beginning their family.
Bill and Melinda have 3 grown-up children – Jennifer, Rory, and Phoebe – and dwell in their tremendous, earth-sheltered family property, named Xanadu 2.0, sitting above Lake Washington in Medina, WA.
