Doctor Donates Maternal and Newborn Care Equipment to Abatete PHC
A Canada-based medical doctor has donated medical equipment to the Primary Health Centre at Christ the King Parish, Abatete, Anambra State, to support maternal and newborn healthcare. The items include an ultrasound machine, delivery bed, oxygen cylinder, cardiac monitor, autoclave, suction and nebuliser machines, digital fetal Doppler, phototherapy machine, and labour and minor surgical equipment. The health centre was also repainted. The intervention will enable pregnant women to access ultrasound scans at the facility and support newborn jaundice treatment, emergency care and safer deliveries. It is expected to benefit Abatete residents and nearby communities.
