Emir Sanusi Urges Nigerians Not to Risk School Fees or Homes on Dangote Shares
The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has advised prospective Dangote Refinery investors to avoid using essential funds such as school fees or money from selling their homes to buy shares. Speaking at an investor roadshow in Kano, he urged residents to invest only money they can comfortably set aside for the long term. He suggested starting with manageable amounts, such as ₦10,000, ₦20,000 or ₦30,000, rather than pursuing quick profits. Sanusi said shareholders benefit from a company’s profits regardless of where its facilities are located. He encouraged Kano residents to participate in the capital market and take a long-term view of any investment.
