Anioma Watch Hails Onicha-Olona’s Revival of the Omu Institution
Anioma Watch Association has congratulated the people of Onicha-Olona, Delta State, on the revival and enthronement of the Omu institution, describing it as a reaffirmation of the community’s cultural heritage and traditional values. The association praised the installation of HRH Nwamaka Cynthia Jibunoh as the ninth Omu of Onicha-Olona. She succeeds the late HRH Justina Okukaleke Ntoka. It said the Omu institution can support unity, community development and welfare initiatives across Anioma. The group also referenced a recent maternal-support programme organised by the Omu of Ibusa for expectant mothers at a primary health centre.
