Two Suspected Robbers Arrested With Locally Made Gun, Cartridges in Lagos

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command, working with a local vigilante group, have arrested two suspected armed robbers during a crime-prevention patrol in the Odogunyan area of Lagos. Police said the suspects attempted to flee after they were intercepted while carrying a handbag. A search of the bag allegedly led to the recovery of a locally made cut-to-size gun and three live cartridges. The suspects are in custody as investigations continue. The police said they will be charged to court after the investigation is concluded.
