Seyi Vodi Shares How Reinvestment Helped Him Build a Business Before Social Media Fame
Fashion entrepreneur Seyi Vodi says he spent 11 years building his businesses in Nigeria before becoming widely visible on social media. He said he prioritised saving, reinvesting profits and staying focused over foreign travel and online attention. According to him, the foundation of his current success came from accounting for every kobo earned and putting surplus funds back into his ventures. He said his decision to remain in Nigeria and concentrate on his work was deliberate. Vodi, who says he is married with two children and employs more than 100 people, said his first international trip was to Dubai after he had already established his businesses. His ventures include fashion, footwear, cleaning and training services. He believes business success should be measured by real-world value and long-term growth, not social media visibility.
