Yahaya Bello Scholar Graduates with First-Class Law Degree in the UK
Oluwabukolami Adeyemi topped the 2023 Cambridge IGCSE and AS Exams among candidates from over 100 countries. She went on to earn a first-class law degree from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom. In August 2023, the former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, awarded her a full scholarship covering tuition, accommodation and living expenses. Oluwabukolami’s success drew praise from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Peter Obi and other notable Nigerians. After graduation, she received another scholarship offer from Yahaya Bello to pursue her master’s degree in the UK. In a heartfelt video, she thanked him as “God sent to humanity” for believing in her potential. Her father expressed profound appreciation, saying the governor’s generosity made it possible for his daughter’s academic dreams to come true.
