Bandits Kill Katsina LGA Health Secretary During Attack on Kafur Community

Suspected bandits have killed Saadu Dantutture, the Health Secretary of Malumfashi Local Government Area in Katsina State, during an attack on his hometown in Dantutture community, Kafur LGA. Residents said the attackers looted shops and abducted Dantutture shortly after he returned to the community. He was reportedly killed as the gunmen tried to leave the area. Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 17 Brigade and local vigilantes reportedly engaged the attackers. Three suspected bandits were said to have been killed, while another escaped after abandoning a weapon.
