Erik Von Detten Faces Lawsuit Over Alleged Gold Investment Losses

Former Disney child actor Erik Von Detten and precious-metals firm Rosland Capital are facing a lawsuit from an elderly US couple who allege they lost about $900,000 through gold-coin transactions. The couple claim they contacted the company after seeing an advert in 2020 and later spoke with Von Detten, who allegedly said he could help manage funds from their retirement accounts. They say about $2.1 million was spent on coins now valued at roughly $1.3 million. The lawsuit alleges elder abuse and fraud and seeks compensation as well as punitive damages. The claims have not been proven in court.
