Finidi Hails Rivers United’s Away Form After Goalless Draw in Aba

Rivers United coach Finidi George praised his side’s defensive discipline after they drew 0-0 with Abia Warriors in their Matchday 8 NPFL clash at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba. The result keeps Rivers United unbeaten in the league and second on the table with 16 points, one behind leaders Rangers. Finidi said the team controlled periods of the game against difficult opposition, although they could not find a goal. He added that the congested schedule is beginning to affect the defenders and that the squad will need more players to step in. The former Super Eagles winger believes the point earned away from home could prove important in the title race.
