Bournemouth Join Liverpool in Rare European Feat After Beating Sparta Prague
Bournemouth beat Sparta Prague 3-1 away on Thursday to make it four wins from four in their first European campaign. Opta says they are only the second English side to win their first four matches in major European competition, after Liverpool in 1964. The Cherries had already beaten Real Sociedad, Sturm Graz and AC Milan. Thursday’s result also extended their winning run in all competitions to seven matches. Bournemouth, eighth in the league on 12 points, were scheduled to visit Ipswich Town on Sunday.
