Borno Governor Zulum Vows to Hunt Down Boko Haram Informants

Governor Babagana Zulum has warned anyone feeding information or sheltering Boko Haram to expect full legal action. He made the statement during a statewide broadcast on March 19, linking the recent rise in attacks to ongoing military operations across the region. The governor stressed that those who aid terrorists are not patriots but enemies of the state. “You will be hunted down and made to face the full wrath of the law,” he declared. He assured citizens that the security situation, though tested, remains under control thanks to the efforts of security agencies and the civilian Joint Task Force. Reflecting on seven years of rebuilding, Zulum paid tribute to fallen soldiers and affected families. He called on communities to stay resilient and united in prayer, noting that peace requires collective action and that the insurgency has not been defeated yet.
