Bandit Attack in Lafiagi: Man Killed, Two Women Kidnapped in Fulani Settlement

Armed bandits raided a Fulani settlement in Lafiagi, Edu LGA of Kwara State on Monday night. They stormed the Sodo/Sawmill area around 8pm, firing shots and causing panic. The attackers killed one man and abducted two wives of the Seriki Fulani, aged 25 and 35, after failing to locate their main target. They then withdrew into a nearby forest. Security forces responded to distress calls and engaged the gunmen, forcing them to retreat. A police spokesperson confirmed the raid and said operations continue as troops track the suspects.
