DJ Wins £90k After Falling Bricks Injure Her Outside London Café
A London court has awarded DJ Chloe Caillet roughly £90,000 after a section of brick cornice fell from a building next to a café in north-west London. The debris struck her neck, shoulder, back and foot, leaving her with bruises, anxiety and sleep disturbance. Caillet initially claimed nearly £100,000 in damages, saying she was unable to work for six months. The defence presented social media posts showing her attending events in New York and Nevada. The judge ruled her injuries genuine but noted she had returned to limited work after about three months. The court granted her around £14,000 for injury and treatment costs. OHare Holdings Ltd was ordered to pay approximately £75,000 in legal fees, bringing the total payout to just under £90,000.
