Masari Awards Scholarships to Over 300 Katsina Medical Students
Presidential adviser Ibrahim Kabiru Masari has awarded scholarships to more than 300 Katsina indigenes studying medicine and other health-related courses at universities across Nigeria. At a presentation held on Thursday at Bayero University Kano, selected beneficiaries received ₦500,000 each. Other students present at the event were given ₦100,000 each. Masari said the initiative was inspired by the financial struggles of a young student who lost her father. He said the scheme would be expanded in the next academic session to support Katsina students in other fields. University officials said the support would ease financial pressure on beneficiaries and help more students complete their education in critical health-related disciplines.
