Fire Damages Property at Customs Western Command Office in Apapa

A fire incident damaged property at the Nigeria Customs Service Western Command office in Apapa, Lagos, on Monday. The blaze reportedly began around 10:23 a.m. after an electrical surge in the conference room and spread to other parts of the building. Officers on duty attempted to control it before the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service arrived at about 10:45 a.m. The command says a committee will investigate the cause of the fire. It also plans to review safety measures to prevent a recurrence.
