Lagos and Benue Sign Food Supply Partnership Under Produce for Lagos Programme
Lagos and Benue States have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen food production, supply and processing under the Produce for Lagos Programme. The Benue delegation toured the Lagos State Central Food Security Systems and Logistics Hub in Epe-Ereyun. The hub is expected to support the storage, movement and distribution of agricultural produce to Lagos markets. Benue Deputy Governor Sam Ode said the state plans to supply crops, tubers and other farm produce, while Lagos will offtake and process them. Origin Tech Group said it would continue supporting partnerships aimed at improving food security.
