Ekiti Court Remands Couple Over Alleged Murder of 25-Year-Old Housewife

An Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court has remanded Lamidi Salau, 67, and Lamidi Aina, 65, over the alleged murder of 25-year-old Kehinde Omize. Police allege that Omize was attacked with a machete during a domestic dispute in the Dalimore area of Ado-Ekiti. Her husband, Sadiq Ibrahim, is also accused in the case and is reportedly at large. The defendants were remanded at the Ado-Ekiti Correctional Facility on allegations of conspiracy and murder. Their pleas were not taken, and the case was adjourned until October 9, 2026, for mention.
