Ooni of Ife Urges Leaders to Put Nigeria’s Interests Above Personal Gain

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has urged Nigerians to embrace peace, unity and mutual understanding as he marked his 52nd birthday. He said ethnic, religious and political differences should not stand in the way of national progress. The monarch called on leaders to place the collective interests of Nigerians above personal considerations. The Ooni also restated his commitment to preserving Yoruba cultural heritage, supporting youth development and entrepreneurship, and promoting dialogue among traditional rulers and communities.
