Amapakabo Explains How Abia Warriors Overran Bendel Insurance

Abia Warriors coach Imama Amapakabo says his side exploited Bendel Insurance’s midfield weakness to secure a convincing NPFL home win. Chukwuemeka Obioma scored twice, while Ettah Ikoi added another goal as Abia Warriors bounced back from their 2-0 defeat to Barau FC. Amapakabo said Insurance surprised his team by using a 4-2-4 formation instead of the expected 4-3-3. He said Abia Warriors congested the midfield and created enough first-half chances to score five or six goals. The coach also said the squad is still rebuilding after losing about 18 players. The win moved Abia Warriors to ninth place on eight points.
