Showunmi Blames Tinubu Administration for Economic Hardship, Alleges Election Manipulation

PDP chieftain Segun Showunmi has accused the APC of manipulating its way into power and failing to manage the country’s economy. Speaking at a PDP end-of-year gathering in Ogun State, he cited the high cost of living, inflation, exchange-rate pressures and insecurity as evidence that the Federal Government is struggling. Showunmi also alleged that the APC was intimidating opposition figures over accusations against Ogun PDP governorship candidate Ladi Adebutu. He said Adebutu had reported to the police and that the PDP would not be bullied. The former Atiku campaign spokesperson also restated his interest in leading the PDP nationally, calling for reforms and a more inclusive party structure.
