Filmmaker Niyi Akinmolayan has reacted to Uber’s reported exit from Nigeria by drawing a comparison with the withdrawal of Amazon Prime Video and Netflix investments. He said filmmakers were unfairly blamed when the streaming platforms scaled back. He questioned whether taxi drivers would now receive similar blame over Uber’s departure. “Are you now going to blame drivers for Uber leaving?” he asked.
