Vinicius Jr Receives Four-Match Ban, Set to Miss El Clasico

Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr has received a four-match suspension after his red card in the club's 1-0 La Liga win over Villarreal. Vinicius came off the bench, had a goal ruled out and was sent off for pulling Villarreal defender Nathan Saliba's hair. He was also reported to have protested to the referee after the dismissal. The Spanish football disciplinary committee issued a two-match ban for violent conduct and another two matches for his reaction to the referee. He is set to miss matches against Sevilla, Barcelona, Racing Santander and Valencia. Real Madrid are expected to appeal the decision, although the suspension could still keep Vinicius out of the El Clasico on 25 October.
