Rufai Oseni Warns Nigerians Not to Expect an Osun-Style Outcome in 2027

Television anchor Rufai Oseni has cautioned Nigerians against assuming that the outcome of the 2026 Osun governorship election will be repeated in the 2027 general elections. Speaking on August 17, Oseni said his earlier warnings to Osun voters were meant to help them understand possible risks and respond appropriately. He argued that the political stakes and use of federal power could be far greater in 2027. According to him, Nigerians should not become complacent because of events in Osun. INEC declared Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party winner of the Osun governorship election.
