Permanent Miracles: Open Heavens Daily Devotional (April 9, 2026)

Date: Thursday, April 9, 2026 Theme: Permanent Miracles Memory Verse: “Whatever God does shall be forever; nothing can be added or taken from it” (Ecclesiastes 3:14) Scripture Reading: John 5:1–14 One of my spiritual sons was diagnosed with jawbone cancer and given two weeks to live. His parents brought him to Redemption City, and when I saw his swollen head and weakness, my faith wavered. I prayed, and God healed him completely. Forty-three years later, he is alive, married, and raising children—a living testimony of a permanent miracle. Jesus brings lasting solutions. In Mark 10:46–52, blind Bartimaeus threw off his garment of shame the moment he heard Jesus was passing by. His sight was restored forever. Yet some people lose their miracles through sin and carelessness. When Jesus warned the man healed at Bethesda to “sin no more,” He reminded us that returning to sin can open the door for worse trials. Key Point: To keep your miracles permanent, flee from sin and walk in holiness. Prayer Points: 1. Thank God for being the God of permanent solutions. 2. Ask for mercy for any miracle lost through negligence or sin. 3. Receive a lasting testimony and declare it irreversible. 4. Pray for healing of long-standing sicknesses to be complete and permanent. 5. Reject every garment of shame and call on the name of Jesus. 6. Ask for grace to avoid returning to old sins and maintain your miracle. Bible in One Year: 1 Kings 1–2 Author: Pastor E. A. Adeboye
