Super Eagles Begin Training in Nizhny Novgorod Ahead of Russia Friendly
Seventeen Super Eagles players held their first training session in Nizhny Novgorod ahead of Tuesday’s international friendly against Russia. The Saturday session included Moses Simon, Stanley Nwabali, Benjamin Fredricks, Emmanuel Fernandez, Kelechi Iheanacho and Akor Adams. The squad is scheduled to train again on Sunday and Monday before the match at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium. Nigeria and Russia drew 1-1 when they last met in Moscow in June last year. Semi Ajayi’s own goal gave Russia the lead before Tolu Arokodare equalised for the Super Eagles.
