Five Members of One Family Killed in Yobe State Highway Crash

A devastating accident on the Damaturu–Maiduguri highway in Yobe State claimed the lives of five relatives on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. The victims, all from Potiskum Local Government Area, were identified as Hajjagana, Ibrahim, Muhammad and Hauwa Dahiru Zayi, plus another family member. Three other relatives suffered injuries and are receiving care at the General Hospital in Damaturu. The Yobe State Police confirmed the fatalities and said an investigation is under way to determine the cause of the crash.
