Sporting Lagos head coach Jeffrey Buter says he is the youngest manager in the Nigeria Premier Football League ahead of the 2026/27 season. Buter led the club back to the top flight after its NNL title-winning campaign. Sporting Lagos recorded 11 wins and three draws in 18 league matches, scoring 31 goals and setting a club record with five away victories. The coach began his career as an assistant at Makinz FA in Abuja in 2020 before working with AS Roma Academy and Derby Football Academy. Since taking charge of Sporting Lagos, he has overseen 42 competitive matches, with a reported 64% win rate and 86 goals scored.
