Super Falcons Set for New Technical Crew Ahead of 2028 Olympic Qualifiers

The Super Falcons are expected to get a new technical crew before their 2028 Women’s Olympic qualifying campaign begins in October. National Sports Commission Director-General Bukola Olopade said changes are being considered after Nigeria’s disappointing 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign in Morocco. The Nigeria Football Federation had asked the technical crew led by Justine Madugu to step down. Nigeria lost 3-2 to Malawi in the group stage before a 1-0 quarter-final defeat to Cameroon ended their title hopes. The result also denied the Falcons automatic qualification for the 2027 Women’s World Cup, while a 2-1 play-off loss to South Africa ended their remaining qualification chance.
