Nigerian Soldiers Killed in Foiled Terrorist Attack on Borno Brigade HQ

The Nigerian Army confirmed that insurgents launched a coordinated assault on the 29 Task Force Brigade Headquarters in Benisheikh, Borno, around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday. Troops led by Brig-Gen. Oseni Braimah repelled the attackers with exceptional courage and firepower. The militants were forced to abandon their mission and fled in disarray. Director of Defence Media Operations Maj-Gen. Michael Onoja said the incident reflects the desperation of terrorists after recent military setbacks. He paid tribute to soldiers who died and extended condolences to their families. The Army urged civilians to verify information before sharing and pledged to continue clearance operations to neutralise fleeing insurgents and restore peace in the North-East.
