Akwa Ibom LGA Approves ₦20,000 Monthly Stipend for Corps Members

Urue-Offong/Oruko Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom has approved a ₦20,000 monthly stipend for every NYSC member serving in the area. The council chairman announced that payment would begin immediately. He said the support was intended to ease corps members’ welfare needs during their service year. The council also directed its Works Department to inspect corps members’ accommodation and recommend needed renovations. It pledged to prioritise their welfare and safety throughout their deployment.
