Garri Fest in Port Harcourt brought together food, music, games and Nigerian culture, with garri as the main attraction. White and yellow garri were poured into a giant drum with drinks, groundnuts, sugar and milk. The mixture was stirred with long wooden paddles as attendees watched. There was no cooking involved. Once the soaking was complete, guests were served cups of the garri to taste.
