Lookman Praises Atletico’s Fight After Assisting Equaliser in Stuttgart Draw
Ademola Lookman praised Atletico Madrid’s determination after they drew 1-1 with VfB Stuttgart in the UEFA Champions League. Stuttgart took the lead through Jamie Leweling in the 36th minute. Lookman came on after the break and set up Julian Alvarez to equalise three minutes into the second half. Atletico were reduced to 10 men with 25 minutes left after Morten Hjulmand was sent off. Lookman said the team stayed united and fought hard to earn an away point. The Nigerian forward said he looked for Alvarez in the box because he trusted the striker to finish the chance. Atletico now have four points from their opening three Champions League matches.
