Troops Clear IED in Zamfara, Recover ₦5.3m From Suspected Terrorist Supplier

Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have cleared an improvised explosive device near Jabanda village in Zurmi Local Government Area, Zamfara State, preventing a suspected attack on motorists. During follow-up operations in Birnin Magaji and Shinkafi local government areas, troops reportedly engaged fleeing terrorists and recovered motorcycles, camouflage uniforms, a vest, a jungle hat and a handheld radio. Security operatives also intercepted a suspected logistics supplier near Maradun with ₦5.302 million and a mobile phone. A second suspect was arrested after preliminary investigations linked the cash to an alleged terrorist leader. Both suspects are in custody as investigations continue.
