Florida Woman Faces Death Penalty for Alleged Double Ex-Husband Killings
Prosecutors in Florida are seeking the death penalty against Susan Avalon, accused of killing her two ex-husbands on December 17, 2025. Manatee County deputies first responded to the shooting of David Scott in Bradenton. Scott was still alive and told officers his ex-wife might be the shooter. Investigators later found Timothy Fletcher fatally shot at his Tampa home. Authorities allege Avalon killed Fletcher before driving to Bradenton to shoot Scott. She faces first-degree premeditated murder charges for Fletcher’s death and two counts of second-degree murder for Scott’s killing. She has pleaded not guilty.
