Davido, Victony and Timaya Urge Tinubu to Rescue Kidnapped Schoolchildren

Several leading Nigerian artists have called on President Bola Tinubu to act urgently after gunmen abducted pupils and teachers in Oyo State. On May 15, attackers seized 39 students and seven teachers from three schools in Oriire Local Government Area. Two teachers were killed during the raids, sparking national outrage. Victony wrote on social media: “Save our children & put an end to this mess.” Davido appealed for divine intervention, saying, “I’m weak. God please take control... we can’t continue like this.” Timaya added in a statement that the government must collaborate more urgently to curb the rising insecurity. According to reports, families and communities are demanding swift rescue efforts and stronger security measures to protect students and staff.
