MultiChoice Says Nigerian Operations Will Remain Locally Led Under Canal+

MultiChoice Says Nigerian Operations Will Remain Locally Led Under Canal+

MultiChoice Nigeria says its day-to-day operations, pricing, content strategy, channel packages and distribution decisions will continue to be shaped locally despite its acquisition by Canal+. Chief Executive Officer Kemi Omotosho said the company remains focused on Nigerian customers, employees, partners and the local creative industry. She said the local executive team understands the country’s economic conditions and consumer behaviour. According to Omotosho, Canal+ ownership gives MultiChoice access to international technology, ideas and expertise, while allowing solutions to be adapted to Nigeria’s market realities. She added that the company plans to keep investing in Nigerian content, infrastructure and local talent.
