NCAA Probes Airline After Passenger Reports Bleeding in Stifling Abuja-Calabar Flight
The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) says it will investigate reports of poor ventilation on an Abuja-Calabar flight after a passenger said he began bleeding in the heat. The passenger said travellers boarded at about 12:07 p.m. and remained inside the aircraft for roughly 50 minutes without the engines running or air conditioning. He said fellow passengers fanned him and offered support after the heat became unbearable. The flight reportedly arrived in Calabar at 2:04 p.m., despite having a scheduled duration of about 45 minutes. NCAA confirmed the planned probe on Tuesday following the complaint.
