Rick Ross Arrested in Miami on Domestic Violence Battery Charges
American rapper Rick Ross, whose legal name is William Leonard Roberts, was arrested in Miami-Dade on Thursday on domestic violence-related battery charges. Records show he was booked at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on charges of battery and battery by strangulation. Police set his total bond at $6,000. The arrest came days after his former girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick, publicly alleged that he physically abused her. It is not yet clear whether the arrest is connected to Kendrick’s allegations or to a separate complaint. According to reports, a woman told police Ross repeatedly struck her during an argument and provided photographs of her alleged injuries.
