Edo Security Corps Arrests Man After Dismembered Woman’s Body Is Found in Uromi
The Edo State Security Corps has arrested a 49-year-old man in connection with the discovery of a dismembered woman’s body in Uromi, Esan North-East Local Government Area. The corps said it began surveillance after reports that women had gone missing in the community. Operatives reportedly saw a person in a Toyota vehicle dumping a body before leaving the area. Officials said the suspect was later traced and arrested, while the vehicle allegedly used in the incident was recovered. He has been handed over to the police for further investigation. The corps said it is also investigating the disappearance of another woman, Patience, who was reported missing after returning from Lagos to Benin City on October 1, 2026.
