Oyinlola: Vehicle Was a Statutory Osun Benefit, Not a Gift From Adeleke
Former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola has rejected claims that Governor Ademola Adeleke personally bought him a vehicle. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Oyinlola said the vehicle was provided by the Osun State Government under a law covering benefits for former governors. He said the law provides for an official vehicle to be replaced every four years. Oyinlola, who left office 16 years ago, argued that the entitlement is a statutory obligation and not a personal gift from the current governor. The disagreement comes amid heightened political exchanges ahead of the Osun governorship election.
