Oloworo of Oworosoki Sends Eid-el-Kabir Greetings, Urges Peace and Generosity
The Oloworo of Oworosoki, Oba Babatunde Saliu Elebo II, has extended warm Eid-el-Kabir felicitations to Muslims in Nigeria and around the world. He encouraged believers to uphold Islam’s teachings of peace, love, unity and compassion during and after the celebrations. Highlighting the significance of the festival, the monarch noted that Eid-el-Kabir commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering sacrifice and total submission to God. He called on all to show kindness to widows, orphans and the vulnerable, reflecting the spirit of sharing in the Holy Qur’an.
