Should Lagos’ Marital Consent Law Apply Equally to Husbands and Wives?

Lagos State’s law on sex without consent in marriage raises important questions about consent, evidence and fairness for both spouses. Is life imprisonment proportionate for marital rape convictions, and are such cases common enough to require this penalty? Do you support the law, and what protections or changes would you recommend?
