LASU Parents Demand Answers Over Nursing Students Moved to Other Courses
Parents of some Lagos State University students say their children were moved from Nursing to courses including Radiology, Biochemistry and Physiology without a clear explanation. Affected families say the students had worked towards Nursing for years, with some recording CGPAs above 4.5. One student, who reportedly earned a 4.8 CGPA after three JAMB attempts, was moved to Radiology. Parents are asking LASU to state the criteria used for the changes, whether academic performance was considered, and what appeal options are available. Claims that some lower-CGPA students remained in Nursing, as well as allegations of preferential treatment, have not been independently verified.
