NAF Plane Crash: Family Mourns Flight Lieutenant Akintoye, Who Married in 2025
A retired Federal Road Safety Corps deputy corps marshal, Kayode Olagunju, has mourned Flight Lieutenant M. Akintoye, one of the victims of Monday’s Nigerian Air Force plane crash in Igbokoda, Ondo State. Olagunju shared photographs from Akintoye’s wedding in August 2025 and described him as a well-trained, decorated pilot whose life and plans were cut short by the crash. Akintoye reportedly visited his mother in Benin City on her birthday before departing for Lagos. Family sources said he told her they were heading to Lagos, making the visit their final encounter.
