Security Operatives Rescue Kidnap Victim in Rivers’ Ikwerre LGA
Security operatives have rescued a kidnap victim in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State. The victim was rescued along Airport–Ipo New Road on Thursday, August 6, 2026, after the Ikwerre LGA chairman, Charles Wobodo, reportedly mobilised security agencies following a distress call from an eyewitness. Operatives searched the surrounding bush where the victim was believed to have been taken and secured the rescue. Security agencies have launched efforts to identify and arrest those responsible. Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activity to security authorities.
