Can a Graduate Build a Successful Career as a Vulcaniser?

Can a Graduate Build a Successful Career as a Vulcaniser? — 1 of 2
1 / 2

I wanted to challenge the view that vulcanising offers no upward trajectory. Many graduates earn below ₦150,000 monthly with little chance to advance. As a vulcaniser, you can save capital to start a tire import business or related services. Making about ₦40,000 daily can translate to roughly ₦800,000 per month and ₦9.6 million per year—far above many entry-level office salaries. I’ve met people who grew a tire business into seven-figure bank accounts, proving this trade can be more lucrative than some desk jobs. Society often views manual work as demeaning, even when earnings and growth potential are higher. Graduates should consider the long-term benefits of trades that generate significant cash flow and entrepreneurial opportunities.
