Davido Asks Dangote Why Nigerians Should Buy Into Refinery IPO
Afrobeats star Davido asked Aliko Dangote why Nigerians should invest in the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals IPO during an appearance in New York. Dangote said public ownership would help spread wealth across Africa. He added that the company plans to list more of its businesses, including its fertiliser operation, so more Africans can own stakes in them. The refinery’s offer runs from September 14 to October 13, with 4.1 billion shares offered at ₦525 each to Nigerian and eligible African investors. Their exchange followed an appearance at Times Square, where the refinery IPO was displayed on a Nasdaq billboard.
