Obi Cracks Down on Kidnappers: Seals Hotels and Houses in Anambra
Governor Peter Obi has launched a bold crackdown on kidnapping in Anambra State by sealing any hotel or private house linked to suspects. In Nkpor, a hotel was shut down after security operatives arrested four suspects—including Chinedu Eze and John Okoro—who were holding two victims. The hostages, a Zenith Bank operations manager and Sir Vincent Ohiagwu, were rescued following confessions. At Nri in Anaocha LGA, the governor led teams to seal two compounds previously raided for kidnapping. Obi warned that any confirmed hideout would be demolished and the land converted for public use until the state is rid of these criminals.
