Uba Sani Reinstates 37 Kaduna LG Workers Wrongfully Dismissed Under El-Rufai

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has approved the reinstatement of 37 Unified Local Government Service workers who were found to have been wrongly disengaged under the previous administration. The Local Government Service Board said a committee had earlier recommended their return, but the decision was not implemented. After the workers petitioned the current administration, their case was reviewed and the governor approved their reinstatement. Some of the affected workers have since retired or died. Serving workers will return to their councils immediately, while retirement benefits and entitlements owed to deceased workers’ families will be processed. Labour leaders welcomed the decision and called on the state government to address manpower shortages in the local government service.
